NOTICE OF BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING

A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the Winston-Dillard Fire District No. 5, Douglas County, Oregon, to discuss the budget for fiscal year July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022, will be held at 250 SE Main Street, Winston, OR 97496. The meeting will take place on the 7^th day of June 2021 at 5:30 pm.  The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget document and to receive comment from the public on the budget. A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained on or after May 24, 2021 at 250 SE Main Street, Winston, OR 97496, between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.

This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. Any person may appear at the meeting and discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee. Notice of our Budget Committee Meeting dates can also be found on our District website at www.wdfd.net

Hydrant Testing

Firefighters will begin annual hydrant flushing and maintenance this Monday, May 3, 2021. Hydrant flushing will be conducted from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, five days a week. The Fire Department realizes that hydrant flushing may cause some inconvenience, however, the flushing program is necessary to ensure the proper functioning and delivery of adequate water from the water mains when needed for fire control. The community’s cooperation with this hydrant-flushing program is appreciated during the flushing process, customers may experience low water pressure or discolored water. While the water is safe to drink, customers may prefer to wait until it runs clear before drinking or washing clothes and dishes. If you experience any prolonged discoloration or issues with your water, please contact the Winston-Dillard Water District at 541-679-8467.
